無知@ 5things u dunno abt s-woo

My madame-blog-discipline-CMJ tagged me on above subject, so I shall reciprocate accordingly. Here it goes.
  • My fav pet is GOLDFISH - I love her dearly and I hope she is reading this.

  • In pool game, I am also known as Hustler - the ChekKai One

  • I can find humour even in the most desperate and intense moments. Let me share an instance that happened in my condo. Inside an elevator while ascending, the growling cage suddenly jolted to a halt. It was complete darkness for 10scs. Luckily, the back-up light took on and swiftly I pressed on the RED button but to no avail. What loomed above my mind was the scene in Kill Bill where Uma Thurman dug her way out from her grave. So with few chuckles, I've decided to take the matter into my own hands and stretched open the sliding doors. I stepped out n save the day myself! So never say never. Die die also there is a way out one

  • Lizard, frog, cockroach. My fear scale in that order. But flying roach tops the list any time. I am terrified of cat as much as mouse. I like dogs but dont ask me to get intimate with them. All in all, I am not an animal person.

  • I dont like to TAG people, but I'll be glad to find out 5 things I dont know about you!

Signing Off... GOLDFISH #2

10-NIS or arse stories(?) in OZgrandslam07

My lil bro walked to me and exclaimed,"Jeh, I'm picking up tennis. You are looking at the Raja Federer!" Ah..the purity in children! They just dare to dream and dream big.Mmmm...Me Sandipova? Zilch chance.

This year's ozgrandslam witnesses many racquet bangings and throwings - must be the blazing temperature in Melb causing the hot temper in both males and females. Thank God we are kept out from further watching Nadal korek-korek-arse action as the world #2 was eliminated in qtr-final. Sometimes he even smells his fingers after korek-ing. Such a dis-tasteful and obscene habit from a great player.

Latest updates cite that Roddick just gotten a taste of Federer's best whips, yet again. Despite ARod's own assertion that his gap with FedEx is closing up, I think it is ARod's cracking ripped arse that needs more stitches to close up. Ouch! However, my salute to ARod for taking up this fact so man-ly. Press conference transcript at http://www.australianopen.com/en_AU/news/interviews/2007-01-25/200701251169723691421.html The interviewers there really tried their best to bite and chew him.
Well, the ladies final is lopsided this year - an arrogant gorilla versus a pretentious "ova" beauty. I dont like both but if I really have to pick the winner, I would go for Sharapova as Serena is lacking fitness, agility and offensiveness. Hopefully the Russian is consistent this round

Lets see if tomorrow finalist spells Haas or Gonzalez. Well, mercy on either one when FedEx marches into the court.

容祖兒closeUp@ Album Pick

Mixed of ballads and dance songs, which Joey has little handling issues vocally. I thought there are few songs probably cover versions from the West and hence lacking originality. Turned out I was wrong, all written by hongkies. Or maybe they just improvised from somewhere. Nothing overly inspiring here but it is a simple and nice consistent effort from Joey.

Track #1 & 2 心花怒放 華麗邂逅 are formulated to cater the normal canto karaoke goers. Enjoyable but easy to forget.
The one that caught my attention is track #9 如果睡袍太少布 (if my nightie got less cloth) It's slow tempo minimal-jazzy blues (non repercussion type) It starts like this...

如果件睡袍少D布 你看到了恐怕會小命難保 (if my nighties more sexy ah, when you see, sure die one)
I shall not continue translating as it would spoil the whole exoticism.

Another nice sentimental is on track #3 愛一個上一課 (love lessons)
"曾緊張得似應戰 一晚渡無限風險 然後漸漸 沉重到 不願見
人會變 情會厭 從沒甚麼保險

得多天的許可 愛一個上多一課
光影總算照亮過 想開心如何懶惰
無謂算盡機關只要情動 也不敢錯過"

Just go find love & love boldly.

春風他吻上了我的臉@ The Breeze

I can feel the Breeze - no, I am not putting detergent powder onto my face. This Breeze I mean is a sign of the forthcoming of Spring (Lunar Calendar)

I miss the days when the red & super-loud firecrackers was not banned. Well, to count the blessings, we still get to mahjong & card gambling. "1-up & picture" shouting is ringing in my ears. It has been a very long while since I touched my FEI
Wow, it feels so good just even by typing it. Also long time no see my friends East-South-West-North 東南西北 I want to become jeh many many rounds. May my wish come true.

Mmm...CNY 2007 falls on Feb 18. What a prosperous date. Many pundits will invest 4D, buying 0218 or 2180. This year Alan & I will be able to "cut loss" - baby Aden will help to neutralize our AngPow giving. We are also expecting to receive some AngPows from our relatives in Syd OZ. Particularly from Mrs Low aka LHL (mua ha ha)

Looking forward to my favourite season. It is also time to shop for some bright red underwears.

Signing Off Ole-Six

Splashy and splendid 2005. The year I tossed away my singlehood. What were planned for months was translated into a mere 4hours dinner. Actually more like an assembly rakyat – about 600 lengchais/lengluis gave face and turned up in the JW Marriot KL, another 350+ in Seremban. And then, there was Europe trip.

Yet those were slightly pale in contrast with 2006. Well, it is unfair to compare. It is just a different kind of experience, another level of revelation.

Nothing has prepared me the journey of becoming a mother. Recalling my obs tapping on his machine monitor and jovially explained, “see, this is the heart beat (of 2mth embryo)” Staring at a doink doink doink spot, I was awed – overwhelmed in a fearful way. I didn’t even know then that heart is the first organ to form in a pre born being.

Anyway, a big chunk of my pregnancy time was spent running in airports and catching planes. My clients are SEA based. In March, my hubby and I flew to New York/Florida for a global sales conference. We were treated with a luxurious cruise to Carribean/Mexico. Check out the BIG SHIP at
http://www.rssc.com/ships/ship.jsp?code=VOY But nothing beats BIG APPLE. I love NY buzz, vibes and its diversity.

And then, came Aug. Labour is really ouch! ouch! but it is all worth it. Trust me, babies are irresistible and fun. We very much welcome any volunteers to help babysitting baby Aden during weekends! Free hands-on training available. Seriously, now I look at women with full esteem, especially those mothers of several kids AND live in that era whereby the magic potion was not invented. What I mean is this
http://www.babycentre.co.uk/pregnancy/labourandbirth/painrelief/epidural/ Don't ask me the real process, I didn't have it. (I had overestimated my pain endurance)

Apart from all those, I also made new acquaintances and catching up with old friends. In the process, I’ve uncovered the following:
- bad things happened to good people
- some people change, more often turned into bad stinking eggs
- people treated other people badly (and still think it is justifiable to do so)
Bad decisions, bad endings and bad karma for some people that I know. What a letdown! Those who are hurt, please pick up the pieces and get yourself composed. Tomorrow is a new beginning and new hope. For those who chose to inflict lifetime pain onto others, just to satisfy their wants and desires, please learn the word compassion and respect. On the other hand, to those who had taught me kindness, humility and selfless-ness, thank you so much.

What else I left out on 2006? Oh yea, how could I miss it…the cawan of the year - World Cup and that infamous ZiZou headbutting. That also marked the 4th year that I’ve known my hubby. Despite the ups and downs, I am more than grateful that we are an item. Of course, it is even more heart-warming to have baby Aden this Xmas. I’m sure he is very glad that finally a Jr Alan to cheer for MU together.

All in all, I've realized how miraculous life has been. Could this fact of “Sandy-Woo-attempting-to-resurrect-her-blog” be counted as a miracle? Perhaps. Even more unbelievable if you find me maintaining the blog but hey, you never know. Do tune in once awhile.

To all my beloved family, friends and relatives: Cheers to 2006! May your 2007 filled with good health and abundance of joy. Merry Xmas & Happy New Year.

p/s Baby Aden says it in his own cartoon way.
